History of Mountaineer Casino

Mountaineer Park opened in 1951 as a thoroughbred racetrack. Gaming expanded into slots in 1994 and table games in 2007. The property was acquired by Eldorado Resorts (now Caesars Entertainment) in 2014 and sold to Century Casinos in 2019. BetMGM became the retail and mobile sportsbook partner following WV's 2018 legalization.
